Commission Junction is a scam

You enroll as an affiliate with various companies, the companies pay you your commission but Commission Junction keeps your money. They keep it if you don’t have at least $25 to cashout. If you are not American they keep it if you don’t have $50.00. Now can someone explain the reasoning behind these ripoff tactics? I wrote to them asking for my $23.00 in commission that have been sitting in my account for about a year, but they said no. Commission Junction is a scam. Companies that go through Commission Junction to generate affiliates should be made aware of these unfair practices. Commission Junction is probably doing the same thing to other webmasters in my situation. Boycott Commission Junction!

I agree, I cant even contact them through my account. Whenever I try it seems to be disabled. It shows I have several sales and clicks along with around 50,000 impressions. I am sitting at around $4.oo in my account and it never changes.

    Waste of time

  2. Dick Says:

Hey I’m a moron too. listen to me preach:

The payout minimums are in the Agreement that we agree to when enrolling. I’m not sure where the “ripoff” is.
I would be nice if they “just paid” at any amount, but how can you expect a company to process minimal amounts?
It isn’t worth their time to process minimal amounts. They are paying for performance at a level that is agreed to prior to the beginning of the relationship.
    Sell more!

Maybe I SHOULD JUST Shut up. I am a real sleazy kiss ass and a faggot that’s all

  3. Selene Says:

I have to agree also, it is a total rip-off!! I sent an email through the “contact us” link to tell them I never got my commission for cell phone services I was selling and I never heard back from them. I’m pissed! I will find a way to collect my money and I will spread the word that commission junction is a SCAM!

Hey I am a piece of shit. Here’s my comment:
Well your not really a player with a balance of 23.00 bucks, who cares if you get your money, your anger wont hurt them financially, many partners make 23/hr off ads.

not agreeing, but money talks in biz…and your not making any

I am a piece of shit a scumbag and a real SOB

  6. Donny Donovan Says:

Maybe i agree too.. If you check on browser there should be appear your reference PID… Some are showing, but many are not. Many of the reference URL link their provide to us only showing that the source of reference comes from CJ site only. Example : http://www.creativejobscentral.com/photography-jobs/?channel=cj
    While it should be :
    http://www.creativejobscentral.com/photography-jobs/?ref=yourPID
They are collecting money from our sites.. If you know what i mean…

    About contact support ?
The result it just like you, mike…

  8. Fake Site Says:

Wow I am stupid…but here’s my inane comment anyway: First of all its $100 minimum these days. People who cry wolf on phoney scams make real scammers easily exist… But I really suspect this is nothing more than a foul play spam blog here and quite frankly pure ficticious slander on CJ so I hope they come here find this and sue you for slander, win your house and then pay you your $23 for spite

See I told you I was stupid!!!

  9. moneysite Says:

What’s going on? That post by Fake Site??? He’s that stupid? Going around the web and posting silly comments like this one here? He has nothing better to do?

  10. Bharath Says:

    Hey,

Are you fed up with the get rich quick scene. Of everyone promising heaven and delivering hell?

Worthless e-book junk and easy sounding but hard to pull of so called guru techniques that NEVER work for the average guy?

Time wasters, high priced junk products, affiliate stuff.. you name it i`ve tried it.. CRAP

How about something TRULY revolutionary? Something that has never been featured on the world wide web ever before?

Good! Now send me all your hard earned cash. Thanks
    Sincerly yours,

    Matt

If your make less than $50 AND want your money you might aswel just give up and forget it. It’s a tiny amount of money to be sending to people for any company in the whole world!

It’s easy to make a doller per 100 clicks with CJ. It’s not hard or complicated and all the stats are there.

NOW common sense people you can’t be ripped off by them because advertisers test the service (the big players) not only that some people have friends or family by throught their links or process they are almost gauranteed payment. They would be figured out pretty quick.

Chances are if you expected money and didnt get it you never really put a sale through in the manner that the specific terms state. Like Skype for example. You only get commision from their website, if a customer buys from their software interface you get nothing!

  16. question Says:

OK, it seems that CJ sucks, does anyone knows a better program? im getting rid of those guys.

    thanks.

I am very uneducated, but allow me to spew my stupidity please. Don’t erase my stupid comment. PLEAAAASE. EVERY SINGLE MERCHANT OR AFFILIATE NETWORK HAS A MINIMUM THRESHHOLD! Ok I vomited what I thought sounded smart. Please don’t erase my comment. Pleaase don’t. OK!??

    • moneysite Says:

      @loborsx
What are you really saying? Do you like Commission Junction ripoff artists? Come out and say it. Your comment makes absolutely no sense.

  18. Ed Says:

I agree also, they owe me HUNDREDS of dollars, and actually THOUSANDS through a car affiliate program which supposedly never paid the commissions. STEER AWAY from them. Up to one year ago all was going fine, but then… maybe my commissions were getting too high. I don’t know what happened. No replies either.

  19. Shannon Says:

I (the Producer and Webmaster at Wayward Souls™) am currently running an affiliate program in an effort to fund new product development, but things are going a little slow. I’ve been reluctant to list my affiliate program with any of the directories that charge a fee, simply because I’d rather pay the people who do the advertising instead of the middle-men. I stumbled on this while researching a certain middle-man site and decided to chime in on the conversation. I’m not using Commission Junction, by the way.
